Each trullo holds a different space, linked to the others by arched passages and niches carved into the stone, in an intimate and surprising journey. The thick walls keep the rooms cool through the summer months, while warm lighting and coral-red accents create an enveloping, timeless atmosphere.

Trulli di Poesia is located within Masseria Poesia, in Contrada Marinelli, in the countryside of Cisternino, in a commanding position overlooking the Itria Valley. Surrounded by centuries-old olive groves, trulli and dry-stone walls, the Masseria offers a secluded and peaceful retreat just 4 km from the centre of one of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages, renowned for its whitewashed alleys, its little squares overlooking the valley and the tradition of the fornelli pronti, butcher’s grills where meat is cooked over embers to order.
From the Masseria, the most enchanting towns of the Itria Valley are just minutes away. Locorotondo, with its circular old town and traditional cummerse rooftops, and Martina Franca, an elegant Baroque town, are about 15–20 minutes by car; Ostuni, the White City, can be reached in around 20 minutes, while Alberobello, with its UNESCO World Heritage trulli, is about 25 minutes away. The surrounding area is criss-crossed by routes through wineries, olive mills and masserie, perfect for discovering the flavours and traditions of Puglia.
The sea is close at hand too. The Adriatic coast, with the beaches of Torre Canne and Savelletri, is about 15–20 minutes’ drive, while Monopoli, with its old harbour, and Polignano a Mare, perched on its cliffs, are around 30 and 40 minutes away respectively. Nearby lies the Egnazia Archaeological Park, which preserves more than three thousand years of history, while the airports of Brindisi and Bari are about 45 minutes and one hour away.
